Is Ranch Gluten-Free
Wait a minute? Is ranch dressing and dip gluten-free? Most of the time, yes. We took the time to break it down for you here in our blog post “Is Ranch Gluten-Free?”
Not all ranch dressings are certified gluten-free or carry a claim on the label stating that they are “gluten-free” but many are naturally gluten-free.
Thankfully, Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning is gluten-free and gives you the opportunity to make your own dip and dressing at home with their gluten-free ranch seasoning. This can also be a way to save money!
High Protein Ranch Dip
To make our delicious, creamy ranch dip we use greek yogurt. You can also use plain yogurt to make this product; however, greek yogurt has more protein.
Greek yogurt is made by straining out the liquids from the milk over and over again to create a thicker texture. Because of the straining, greek yogurt requires much more milk in the production process which ultimately helps to boost the amount of protein in the yogurt.
Greek yogurt is also lower in lactose and packed with probiotics. Yogurt probiotics are a great gluten-free gut booster. Probiotics are live “good” bacteria that support digestive health.
The FDA regulates food products but does not regulate pill-form probiotics; therefore, what you think is in the product does not always match the description. Save your money by consuming your probiotics through whole foods such as our high-protein ranch dip!
What you Need
- Gluten-Free Plain Greek Yogurt
- Ranch Seasoning
- Optional: black pepper
Sometimes we like to add variety to this high-protein ranch dip by blending it with ½ an avocado to make a gluten-free avocado ranch dip. This will also boost the “good for you” fats. Having an extra hungry day? Try the avocado ranch variation.
Fats take longer for the body to digest and help to promote fullness. Avocado also adds a whole new layer of creamy goodness.
The ranch seasoning is also a great gluten-free seasoning to have in the house if you love ranch. You can use it to flavor chicken, popcorn, baked vegetables, and many more!
How To Make
This gluten-free ranch dip is super easy to throw together. All that you need is a bowl to mix the greek yogurt and the ranch seasoning.
We recommend storing this ranch dip in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving as it helps the ranch seasoning completely soak into the yogurt and boost the flavor.
How To Store
To save this gluten-free ranch dip for later, store it in an airtight container in the fridge. We recommended consuming it within 4-5 days of making the dip.

Gluten-Free Ranch Dip
- 1 cup Plain greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
- ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)
- Combine the seasoning and the greek yogurt in a bowl, stir well.
- For a more flavor-packed dip, we recommned chilling in the fridge for 1-2 hours before enjoying the dip with crackers or vegetables.
